Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By using ChatCite (the "Service"), accessing chatcite.com or chatcite.co.uk, or signing up for a paid plan, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

The Service is provided by Samz Retail Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales ("we", "us", "our"). Contact: hello@chatcite.com.

2. The Service

ChatCite is a Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) toolset that queries third-party AI engines (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity) to report how those engines mention your brand. The Service includes free tools and optional paid plans.

Free tier users may run one audit per IP address per 24 hours. Paid plans remove this limit per the plan you choose.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to bypass rate limits, abuse free-tier credits, or use multiple IPs to evade limits.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or copy the Service in a way that damages our business.
• Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm third parties.
• Submit data that you do not have the right to submit.
• Probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Service without our written permission.

4. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Notify us immediately at hello@chatcite.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

5. Pricing and payment

Paid plans (Pro, Business, Enterprise) are billed in GBP. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Prices may change. We will give at least 30 days' notice of any price increase to existing subscribers.

6. Refunds

For monthly Pro and Business plans, we offer a 7-day refund if you are unsatisfied with the Service and have not made significant use of it. Annual plans are pro-rated. Enterprise plans follow the terms of the individual contract.

7. Third-party AI engines

ChatCite is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or Perplexity. We use the public APIs of these providers to query their engines.

AI engine outputs are non-deterministic and can change without notice. We make no warranty that audit results will be identical across runs or that any engine will continue to mention or omit your brand.

8. Intellectual property

The ChatCite name, logo, tools, source code, content, and design are owned by Samz Retail Ltd. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute them without written permission.

Audit reports we generate for you are yours to share, reproduce, and use however you like, provided you do not misrepresent them as official AI-engine statements.

9. Disclaimer of warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that audit results will be accurate.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall Samz Retail Ltd be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or £100 — whichever is greater.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that harms us, other users, or our third-party providers. You may stop using the Service at any time.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. If we make material changes, we will update the "last updated" date and, for paid users, notify by email. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
